Tour Description

Whether students are studying at school or home this year, Fallingwater invites families with children in grades K-12 to enjoy the outdoors through an exploration of architecture and nature on one of our Family Field Trips. During a private exterior tour of the house and its landscape, families learn about the science, technology, art and history of Fallingwater through a series of engaging activities. You’re sure to learn new things from one of the world’s most significant works of architecture and have lots of fun along the way!

Family Field Trips Include:

• Private outdoor experience of Fallingwater that examines the house’s exterior from the landscape and many of the open-air terraces. Individual family groups can include up to 12 people from a single family.
• Fun learning activities that engage students through observation, sketching, demonstration, and reflection. Activities meet Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Academic Standards in social studies, arts and humanities.
• A Fallingwater souvenir bag for students.

Important Tour Information

Allow sufficient time ahead of your scheduled tour for check-in, parking and arrival at the Visitor Center. We recommend up to 20 minutes to complete arrival and check-in. In planning your visit, allow approximately two hours on site to enjoy at a relaxed pace. Advance ticket purchase is essential. All tickets are subject to an additional 6% processing fee, which is nonrefundable. Same-day ticket availability is not guaranteed, and admissions purchased at the gate are subject to an additional convenience fee.

Children younger than 6 years old, including infants and toddlers, receive complimentary admission. Exterior still photography is permitted for personal use. 

LOCAL FAMILIES: Fallingwater’s Lodging Partners in Education program supports free admission for local students and their families living in the following nearby school districts: Albert Gallatin, Brownsville, Central Greene, Connellsville, Frazier, Laurel Highlands, Mount Pleasant, Southmoreland, Turkeyfoot Valley and Uniontown. Apply for a free Family Field Trip.
