This is a staged reading of a new play by Flora Wilson Brown, directed by Ingrid Sonnichsen, on Thursday, September 10 at 7:00 PM at the Barn at Fallingwater to support Fallingwater’s operations.
“The Beautiful Future is Coming” is a hopeful, dark comedy, telling the stories of three women at different times in history, who are navigating lives affected by an ever changing climate. The play premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Autumn 2025.
Many of the members of the company assembled for this reading is the same as was awarded Best New Play in Pittsburgh by BroadwayWorld.com for “Witch” at Carnegie Stage.
The Barn is located approximately 500 yards north of Fallingwater at the main entrance to Bear Run Nature Reserve at 1478 Mill Run Rd., Mill Run, Pa., 15464 in Fayette County.
