Enjoy Fallingwater all year long with our souvenir booklet, magnet, pen and two postcards. Our best-selling keepsakes in one package.
A Fallingwater educator will be your guide as you experience Frank Lloyd Wright’s most recognized example of the union of architecture and nature. As you walk the beautiful forested grounds and explore the house from both interior spaces and outdoor cantilevered terraces, you will closely examine Fallingwater’s intimate relationship with the mountainous landscape that inspired its design. Inside the living room, one of modern architecture’s most iconic spaces, you will experience Wright’s pioneering idea of “breaking the box” and see an exceptional collection of fine and decorative art as well as custom-made furniture designed by Wright specifically for Fallingwater.
In planning your entire visit, please allow approximately two hours on site to enjoy at a relaxed pace.
Allow sufficient time ahead of your scheduled tour for check-in, parking and arrival at the Visitor Center. We recommend up to 20 minutes to complete arrival and check-in. To create the best experience possible for you and the other visitors on your tour, group sizes are limited and tours begin at regularly spaced intervals. The actual start of your tour may vary past the time you booked to accommodate tour spacing. Multiple groups will be started during each time slot and upon arrival you will be placed in the first available tour group for the time slot you booked.
Expect considerable walking and standing on all guided tours. We recommend visitors wear closed-toe shoes with a rubber non-slip sole that provides both comfort and support. There is a ¼ mile walk from the Visitor Center to the house on uneven gravel surfaces. We offer a shuttle service to and from the house for visitors with mobility challenges.
Touring the house’s multiple levels requires climbing over 100 steps. For visitors unable to climb the stairs to the upper levels of the house, an accessibility tour is available. This tour is recommended for visitors with mobility and stamina limitations. It’s a great option for visitors who are wheelchair users or who have difficulty walking, standing, and/or climbing steps during a one-hour tour. The accessibility tour includes a guided tour of Fallingwater’s first floor, followed by a personalized, guided tour of images of the upper floors and guest house. The accessibility tour includes an optional shuttle ride to and from the Visitor Center. Please contact our Visitor Services office at (724) 329-8501 for more information.
Fallingwater is not air-conditioned.
Children younger than 6 years old, including infants and toddlers, are not permitted on the Guided Architectural Tour. Families with young children may reserve a guided Family Field Trip or a Self-Guided Exterior Experience.
This is a screen-free tour with opportunities for still photography for personal use, as indicated by tour guides.
Advance ticket purchase is essential. All tickets are subject to an additional 6% processing fee which is nonrefundable. Same-day ticket availability is not guaranteed, and admissions purchased at the gate are subject to an additional convenience fee.
