Fallingwater: Preservation-in-Action Guided Tour
Tour Description
Join us for a unique opportunity to witness historic preservation efforts in progress on this special guided tour of Fallingwater before it opens for the 2025 season. During winter, Fallingwater is undergoing significant preservation work as part of its multi-year effort called World Heritage Preserved. The stewardship of Wright’s famous, site-specific design for Fallingwater requires highly customized care. Learn about what it takes to ensure that Fallingwater lives on for generations to come, including details about its historic construction and past preservation projects. You will see and hear active work during this tour, including exterior scaffolding and enclosures. Please know that you may encounter dust, debris, protective tarps and other conditions of an active construction site during this tour.
Important Tour Information
Fallingwater is a multi-story house museum with no elevator service. A tour of Fallingwater includes over 100 stairs and one hour of walking and standing. Tours include time outdoors and take place during all weather conditions. Fallingwater is not air-conditioned. Visitors with mobility impairment may consider taking a Guided Accessible Tour.
