Jack Lenor Larsen’s life in textiles extends far beyond the walls of Fallingwater, woven into the very fabric of contemporary design. A lifelong innovator, Larsen forged a singular path inspired by traditional craft techniques encountered during his travels around the world. Wendy Van Deusen worked closely with Larsen for more than twenty years at LongHouse Reserve as curator and steward of his textile archive, cataloging and caring for an extraordinary body of work. In this program, she will explore Larsen’s global influences, creative legacy, and share personal reflections from their many years of collaboration.
