Each year, Fallingwater Institute partners with colleges and universities from around the country for a variety of custom designed education programs. College Residencies are intensive programs for groups of undergraduate or graduate students who would like to explore architecture and design at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater or learn about collections, preservation or museum education at a world famous house museum.
This learning opportunity is perfect for groups of students in the fields of architecture and design, architectural history, landscape architecture, museum studies or conservation and also for students studying museum-related fields such as public history and education.
Features
- Direct access to Fallingwater

Participants will stay at High Meadow, an award-winning residence designed by AIA Gold Medalist architect Peter Bohlin, founding principal of the firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. The property is situated within the 5,000 acre Bear Run Nature Reserve, adjacent to Fallingwater. High Meadow includes eight bedrooms, each with twin beds and a private bath as well as a kitchen and common areas for relaxing, dining and meeting. High Meadow’s setting, with its unsurpassed views of nearby Chestnut Ridge, is bound to inspire creativity.
Classes are held at the adjacent Cheteyan Studio, and on-site at Fallingwater. Meals are locally prepared.
